Specialist curtain and blind hanging service

The other day I had a call from a customer who wanted to know if we were a specialist curtain hanging service. The obvious reply was "yes, we are indeed a specialist curtain hanging service". She then went onto explain that a few years ago she had some curtains professionally made and installed by Peter Jones which for many years looked fantastic but recently they just haven't been hanging right. She thought the pull mechanisms and curtain tracks were fine and that it had more to do with the way the curtain are hanging on the rails than anything else.

When a customer calls and asks if we are specialist curtain hangers my immediate thought (From years of taking these types of calls) was that she meant fitting new curtain poles or tracks and not actually hanging the curtains themselves. I explained to this customer that we are a professional handyman service and though I am perfectly confident that we can figure out what is wrong with the way her curtains are hanging she should expect a handyman to arrive and not some interior designer curtain specialist type.

In the end she was perfectly happy with that explanation and even more pleased that the same handyman could sort out her funny hanging curtains and also look at a few other jobs she had around the house.

We pride ourselves on solving the problems of our customers and feel that we have the best handyman in London who are capable of solving almost all household and office jobs.

Hanging curtains and blinds is only one the many specialist jobs Silver Saints - London handyman service takes on.

Toilet unblocking - its not pleasant but at least its satisfying

Silver Saints - London handyman service has encountered a few interesting toilet unlocking jobs over the past few months. From soccer ball size pieces of limescale to bits of carpet our Silver Saints have seen it all.

We have a very special method of unblocking toilets that allows us to be faster and cheaper than your average man in van drain unblocking company. This doesn't make the process of unblocking toilets any more pleasant a task but at least it makes it a bit more satisfying. Reason being is that our London handymen find nothing more satisfying than giving a customer a successful, cost effective solution to a problem, even if that problem is a nasty blocked toilet.

Our handymen have pretty funny and equally nauseating stories about unblocking toilets but each one of them still finds it a satisfying job to do.

We charge a fixed price of £60+vat for unblocking your toilet (we unblock sinks and basins too at £70+vat).

If you have a domestic or commercial toilet that is blocked give our operations team a call on 0207 0999 199 or visit our London handyman service website to book in a Silver Saint today.

Gratitude and reward for good service

Silver Saints - London handyman service - We often get emails from customers thanking us for the great service and more often than not praising the handyman for his skill, flexibility and mostly his good manner.

Just last week I received an email from a customer who had Robin in to draught proof her windows. This particular customer was a property developer and had been using a rival handyman service for some time but thought she would give us go as we are one of the few handyman services that offer a draught proofing service.

Robin met her at the property first thing in the morning and proceeded to inspect the windows and the customer decided that she would leave Robin with the keys and leave the property to get on with some other things. This is not a rare occurrence, we are left in properties to work on our own all the time and have absolutely no problem with it. Robin completed the job at the agreed a fixed price, cleaned up after himself and dropped the keys through the post box of the customers home address which was just around the corner. Once he had done this I called the customer to let her know I had emailed her a copy of the invoice for the work done that day and explained this invoice could be paid by card over the phone which she did then and there. Robin had also had a look at some other windows while he was there and I included a cost estimate in the email I had sent with the invoice. The customer could not have been more complimentary about the service she had received and how wonderful she thought Robin was. She even went a step further to email me after the conversation we had had on the phone to say how she thought there was not another handyman company capable of offer more professional and complete service.

Needles to say that this customer will be using us in all of her investment properties from now on.

The most interesting thing about this situation is that I do not feel we did anything out of the ordinary for this customer, we treat all of our customers the same and give the service we ourselves would expect as customers of a service based company.

Why not put us to the test by calling 0207 0999 199 or by visiting our London handyman website. I assure there is no other handyman service in London that offers the same standard of service we do.

Changing light fittings and light switches.

Some people are under the illusion that you need a qualified electrician to change light fittings, light switches and plug sockets but this is not the case. None of our handymen are qualified electricians but are more than capable of changing light fittings, light switches and plug sockets. In fact we can do almost any domestic and commercial electrical jobs that don't need any new wiring added.

Handymen are well within the law to take on like for like electrics eg fitting replacement light fittings. As long as there has been a light fitting there before and the cables are all in place we can change the light fitting without hassle.

Changing light fittings, light switches and plug sockets are just a few of the many electrical jobs we take on. Why not give our operations team a call on 0207 0999 199 or visit out Silver Saints - London handyman website to discuss and book a Silver Saints handyman today.

London toilet and sink unblocking.

Silver Saints - London's premier handyman service is fast becoming London's premier toilet and sink unblocking service.

Sure, all of our handymen travel around motorbikes and cant lug a full jetting and roding kit around with them but that is what makes us so competitive. We carry a special pump and small auger that fits neatly on our bikes and has a 99% hit rate.

There is no comparison between what we charge for unblocking toilets(£60+vat) and what a specialist drain clearing company with two guys in a van with a full kit of drain clearing machines charges (Usually upwards of £100+vat).

If we cant unblock your toilet and sink we wont charge you a penny.

Why not give our operations team a call on 0207 0999 199 or visit our London handyman service website.

Sash window draught proofing

Silver Saints - London handyman service. We have recently added sash window draught proofing to the wide range of handyman jobs we take on in London. Our handymen have years of experience working with sash windows and we have come to realise that there is a demand (especially as winter closes in) for draught proofing of sash windows.

We offer a professional and complete draught proofing service that does not cost the earth. Most draught proofing companies prefer to renovate the entire window which can become both timely and costly whereas we offer a straightforward draught proofing service which will vastly improve the weatherproofing on all areas of the existing sash window.

We offer a fixed price for draught proofing so you no exactly what you're in for.

- £95+vat per window.

If you need your sash window cords changed at the same time we charge an extra £8+vat per window that we are draughtproofing.

Saniflow repairs

Silver Saints - London handyman service is London's premier handyman service. One of the many plumbing jobs we take on is replacing Saniflo units. A saniflo unit is a box that normally sits behind your toilet and is connected directly to the pan of the toilet. When you flush the toilet the waste goes straight into the saniflow unit where it is then effectively chopped up and fed into a smaller pipe that will eventually connect to a waste pipe.

Most people done even know they have saniflo units until the toilet blocks and they get us out to unblock the toilet and we find that it is actually the saniflo unit that has stopped working which is causing the waste to build up in the pan.

9 out of 10 times a saniflo unit is not worth repairing as the motor has usually burnt out. There are a few different makes and models of saniflo units and a like for like replacement is your best bet in terms of convenience of fitment.

Replacing saniflo units is just one of the many plumbing jobs we take on. We even unblock toilets. If you have a plumbing issue in your home or office why not give us a call on 02070999199 or visit our London handyman website.

Replacing sash cords

Silver Saints - London handyman service takes on a huge variety of jobs around the office and home. One of the more specialist tasks we do on a regular basis is replacing broken sash cords and spring balances.

Changing a sash cord or spring balance is a simple task for one of our multi skilled handymen who have changed thousands of cords between them. A spring balance is mainly used in modern PVC windows and is a neat alternative to a sash cord. The function is identical though having a spring balance as apposed to sash cords eliminates the need to have weights in the window frame as the balance is a tensioned spring.

Below is the range of piece if mind fixed prices we offer for changing sash cords:

Replace one inner sash window cord - £65+VAT
Replace one outer sash window cord - £75+VAT
Replace both inner sash window cords - £75+VAT
Replace both outer sash window cords - £95+VAT

Spiral balances are just as easy to change as sash cords though to supply the correct replacement balances we need a few key measurements from the sash window the balances will be going into. We can either send one of London handymen to measure the window for which the charge will be our minimum charge of £40+vat or if you are confident with a tape measure we have a neat form we can email you that shows the a diagram with the required measurements.

Lets do it! Give our friendly and knowledgeable operations team a call on 02070999199 or visit our london handyman website to book a saintly handyman.

Flat pack furniture assembly.

Assembling flat pack furniture is one of the many jobs Silver Saints London handymen have become real pro's at. We probably assemble a piece of furniture a day at least. often if is more than that.

Assembling furniture is one of those jobs that is made out to be far simpler than it really is and I'm never surprised by the amount of people who call to book in one of our handymen saying that they intended to assemble the furniture themselves but only got as far as opening the box.

Instructions that accompany flat packs usually aren't very clear but thankfully our guys have become so adept at assembling every and any piece of furniture that they can make sense of complicated and unclear instructions in minutes.

If you are planing on buying or have bought some flat pack furniture why not give us a call and one of our experienced operations team will be able to give you a rough idea of price and time required for each piece of furniture.

Just another way Silver Saints is taking the hassle out of DIY.

Londons cheapest and most effective toilet unblocking service

Silver Saints London handyman service is proud to admit that we love unblocking toilets. We carry a special tool that allows us to take on unblocking toilets and confidently charge a fixed price that is way lower than your average plumber with his mate in a van.

Toilet unblocking is rightly viewed as a nasty job and it is no different for us but we still enjoy doing it because we are so much more effective with our handy tool and far more reasonably priced than a plumber in a van could ever be and this is why we enjoy it so much.

Our fixed price for unblocking toilets is £60+vat and for sinks its £80+vat which encludes a bottle of one stop drain clearer and if by some small chance we are unable to unblock you loo or sink we wont charge you a penny.

Just another job to add to the long list of jobs Silver Saints handymen love.

New Silver Saints handyman.

Handyman number 5 started today and we super excited about it. Manfred is the latest addition to our team highly experienced and reliable handymen and is in fact a qualified electrician from Germany. I doubt there is any service in London that employs the quality of handyman that we do.

All of our guys come from professional backgrounds and all have a lifetime worth of DIY knowledge and experience. One of our handymen was teasing Manfred about his German efficiency qualities and how he had never seen a neater, more specifically packed tool kit in all of his handyman life. Manfred's reply was that he could close his eyes and still select any tool you asked him to as he always knew exactly where everything was. All of our guys have the same passion and enthusiasm for their tools and this really shows through in their quality of work.

Friday 25 July 2008

Our busiest day yet!

Yesterday we took a total of 19 bookings, our busiest day yet. We dont expect to take many bookings on a Thursday or Friday in camparison with the first half of the week so this really took us by suprise. Our previous best was 18 which was only two weeks ago Monday but we expect to be really busy on the phones on Mondays.

I'm super chuffed with this as it isets up for a good week next week and means we only have a few gaps to fill in the first half of next week. We prefer not to be booked up too many days in advance as it makes us a less effective service for our customers.

Monday and Tuesday are looking full aside from one or two small gaps but the rest of the week is fairly open so if you have any handyman jobs you need doing and you are in London why not give us call.

Tuesday 22 July 2008

Summer holiday pinch.

The handyman industry traditionally quietens down over the school summer holidays. In fact I think the whole of London quietens down over this period. There is noticeably less traffic on my way to work and there seems to be less people out and about in general.

We always expect to feel a slight pinch at this time of year and take between 2 and 5 bookings less per day than we would normally expect to take on average at any other time of the year.

This years summer holidays so far have not actually been that bad for us and we have managed to keep to flow of work a lot more steady than we expected. Sure we have dropped slightly in our bookings but not as much as usual which I think may be down to the fact less people are going abroad for the summer holidays and instead opting to stay in London and use their time over the holidays differently. Weather or not this has something to do with credit crunch I hesitate to say.

I firmly believe that reputation is everything in this industry and no matter what time of year it is we will always strive to offer a service that is second to none and as long as we continue with this our fantastic regular customers will always refer us onto friends, families and colleagues helping keep the steady flow of jobs coming.

Need some help around the house or office Silver Saints' london handymen will be happy to help. We employ the most experienced handymen in London allowing us to take on almost any home and office repair or maintenance.

Silver Saints going green

Here at Silver Saints - London's premier handyman service we are very proud of our green business.

Most of our handymen travel around on motorbikes which are very economical and have very low emissions compared with your average plumber, electrician or maintenance firm in a van though we have even gone one further and have a handyman on bicycle covering mainly central London postcodes. Don, our handyman on a bicycle will tell you there is no quicker way around central London and being a cycling enthusiast myself I have to agree.

Both myself and Seamus (the other operations team member in the office) are avid cyclists and often cycle out to meet our handymen to assist them on jobs that need a second pair of hands for lifting, to drop off parts or even to deliver a ladder and we have a very neat and nifty trailer that fits behind our bikes and can carry most things a handyman would require including a 5 rung ladder!

This is just one of the many ways in which we overcome some of obstacles that other handyman services would not even attempt and we even go about it in a green, Eco friendly way.

Monday 14 July 2008

New handymen, breakfast meetings and concealing cables in walls.

Silver Saints is growing. Today was the first day of our newest recruit, Roger. Although this is his first day as one of Silver Saints' London Handymen he has been in the handyman industry for sometime and we have come to know him and his fantastic quality of work quite well over the last year or so.

Roger will be covering mostly the South East, East and central parts of London so if you are lucky enough to live in one of these areas and book in one of our handymen it may well be Roger that turns up at your door.

Rogers' first day coincided with our monthly breakfast meeting providing a good opportunity for him to meet and sit down with all of our other handymen for a chat. This mornings breakfast meeting was a particularly good one as Silver Saints MD Seamus had planned a demonstration on concealing cables in walls. This has become quite a common request from our customers particularly when it comes to plasma and LCD installations as it is usually unsightly to simply have the cables hanging out of the bottom of the TV. We offer a range of different cable tidy solutions, the most cost effective and common of which is a surface mounted strip of conduit which comes in a variety of colors to match your wall and is relatively inexpensive but there are a lot of people who would prefer to have the cables buried in the wall which can be more time consuming and messy than people think.

Seamus has been putting a bit of thought into chasing cables into walls and decided we would experiment with a few tools that come available to make chasing cables into the wall a simpler and tidier job, at the expense of a wall (In need of repair already) at the office. In the end the demonstration went well and it gave all of the saints a pretty good idea of what is possible when it comes to hiding cables in walls and, hopefully, by the end of this week we should an addition to the services we offer fixed prices for on our Silver Saints - London Handyman website.

More YouTubing.

As of this morning the YouTube video I posted about two weeks ago on how to hang a flat screen has been veiwed 382 times. This is a fantastic result for us and we have found it has done wonders for some of our generic word searches on google so I have posted another video on YouTube which is more of a promo video than a how 2.

London handyman - Silver Saints is a selection of pics of our handymen carrying out some of the more common jobs we love to take on.

Is Jon Lewis slipping?

Yesterday I had a call from one of our handymen to say that he is with a customer who has asked him to hang a blind. Our handymen hang blinds almost everyday, it has to be up there with the most common jobs we do so they see almost all makes shapes and forms of blinds. This particular blind came from Jon Lewis and had been supplied with the incorrect brackets for the blind. This is staring to become a common feature of blinds bought from Jon Lewis and the handyman thought he would call to let me know he had run into yet another JL blind that had been supplied with the incorrect parts.

I'm not sure if there was one bad batch supplied with the incorrect parts or if JL have let their quality control slip.

If you have had similar problems with blinds bought from JL post a comment on this entry as I would be interested to know if there is something wrong with the quality control at JL or if it just coincidence that we have seen a few blinds with incorrect parts.

Picture glass and fragile windows.

On Friday I attended a job with one of our handymen that was to change sash cords and re-weight about 6 sash windows. The office was in Piccadilly in a quite and old building that still had the original glass in the sash windows.

In times gone by the glass manufacturing process has changed somewhat and modern glass is far thicker and more robust than the glass used say 50 years ago. This particular building still had the original glass in the sash windows which is 2mm thick (As apposed to 4mm modern glass) and extremely fragile and unfortunately one of the glass panes broke while we were attaching the new sash cord. This is a very rare thing to happen for one of our guys as we always take as much care as possible but these things do happen and the important thing is how we handled the miss hap.

I got on the phone to Seamus in our office and asked him to source a glass cutting shop within walking distance that I could pop along to get a replacement piece of glass and some putty to hold it is place. Five minutes later Seamus had texted me the address of a place nearby and with in thirty minutes I was back at the property with the replacement glass. We obviously did not charge for any of this time and the customer was pleased with how we handled the situation with the minimum amount of stress or inconvenience to her.

Handymaning, You tubing and blogging.

Last week I decided to go out to a job with one of our London handymen to film him hanging a flat screen TV. We have a office camera wich is pretty decent but is no professional video camera so I wasn't sure how the video would turn out given we dont have a tripod to keep our average camera steady. After a bit of basic film editing and some music the video turned out brilliantly and we have decided to post it on YouTube.

I have decided to make a video of a different job each week and post it on our youtube channel as a sort of how 2 guide on some of the more common jobs we do and I cant wait to edit some more videos and stick them up on YouTube. Not only does this give me oppertunity to learn about something I have never done before in basic film editing (although I cant tell you how straight forward it is) but it also allows me to spend the day out of the office learning from one of highly experienced handymen and meeting some of our fantastic customers.

Lastly it also gives me something to Blog about.

Changing Sash or Spiral Balances

A job we come across regularly is changing sash or spiral balances. A sash balance is a modern alternative to a sash cord and made up of a spring inside of a thin pvc tube that is set to a certain tension when fitted to take the weight of the window.

I quite like spiral balances as an alternative to sash cords mainly because once you have fitted sash balances for the first time it becomes a doddle and having sash balances also means that when it comes time to change them it is much quicker, simpler job because you don't have to dismantle the window as much.

Don't get me wrong sash cords are a tried, trusted and effective technology and all of our London handymen can change both sash cords and sash balances.

I'm of the opinion that someone who can change sash cords should also be able to change sash balances. It is generally a very straight forward job and there are even a few video tutorials available on the web that demonstrate how to change sash balances but because they are less common than their sash cord cousins, people (Even some handymen I have heard of) tend to shy away from them and would rather get someone else to do it.

It appears Silver Saints handymen have become somewhat renowned for changing sash balances, just today I had a call from a property renovations company that have never spoken to or used us before that would like us to change the sash balances on three windows at property they are renovating. It turns out we were recommended to them by another company that had heard about us through the web and used us for much the same thing.

I think the only down fall to having sash balances is that they are made to size for each window which means they are not something you can easily source off the shelf. You have to take some measurements of the window and identify what type of glazing the window has and then order the balances online. This means it is two visit job, one to take the measurements and order the sash balances and another to fit the balances. Our handymen have done this many times and can take the measurements and identify the glazing for numerous windows in a matter of minutes so you are normally only looking at paying our minimum half hour charge of £40+vat. Most customers usually get us to do something else while we are there to fill the half hour and once we have the price of the replacement balances we can usually give you fixed price for the job of fitting them.

If you know you have sash balances or even if you are unsure but know your sash window is not working the way it should be why not give us a call on 0207 0999 199and one of our friendly and experienced operation team member will advise on what is required to repair your windows.

Overcoming obstacles

Being a handyman service with handymen that travel around on motorbikes (And one on a bicycle) we are sometimes limited to the things we can carry on our bikes. Our handymen carry a wide range of tools for almost every job you can think of though materials such as timber are difficult, for obvious reasons, to carry on a bike.

This doesn't stop us from doing jobs that require these types of materials as there is almost always a solution to supplying large materials. A good example of this would be supplying and fitting shelves, this is a job we get asked to do quite often and even though our handymen can not carry the shelves on their bikes we can still get the job done by sending a handyman out to you for either for a half hour minimum charge so he can take some measurements, assess what materials are needed and you can get him to do some other jobs while on site to fill the half hour or you can choose our survey and estimate service where we send a handyman to your property to take measurements and asses the job. This visit is charged at £35+vat and can normally be carried out at more flexible hours to accommodate the customer and if you choose to go ahead with the work we will then knock the £35+vat off the final invoice.

The handyman will then source the materials himself or get one of our experienced operations team members to do it and either have the materials delivered to your door by our supplier or have them delivered to our office where our operations team can then arrange a suitable delivery time usually in the evening or on weekends.

It is this dedication to overcoming obstacles that your average handyman service does not have the will or desire to over come that really sets us apart from the rest. I find it personally satisfying over coming these obstacles at the minimum of inconvenience to our customers.

If you are unsure of weather or not the job you want doing is something we do why not give us a call and one of our friendly experienced operations team members will be happy to discuss and even give advice on what the best way to get the job done is.

This is why we call ourselves THE London Handyman Service.

Changing tap washers

Leaky taps are our bread and butter. Solving a dripping tap is the type of job we love and it’s also one of the most common jobs we do. Most taps still operate on a rubber washer system and changing the washer will 9/10 times solve the leak. All of our handymen carry tap washers with them and it normally only takes 20-30min to change the washers on a set of taps (Providing we can easily turn the water off).

There are some more modern taps that we call quarter turn taps which have replaced rubber washer inserts with something called a ceramic disk. In principal these ceramic disks are meant to last much longer than tap washers which in most cases they do but, and there is a big but, they don’t last forever and when they do eventually go they are far harder to replace than your average tap washer. The action of actually changing them if very straight forward, it is the sourcing of the correct ceramic disk that is the hard part. There are literally 1000’s of different size ceramic valves out there and just going to a local plumbers merchants won’t do the trick any more.

Luckily, here at Silver Saints – London’s premier Handyman Service, we have become specialist at sourcing replacement valves for quarter turn taps. Most other plumbing services would suggest replacing the tap entirely but most times this is not necessary. There are two ways we can solve the drip for you, one way is to send us a picture of the tap via email or mobile phone and we can identify the manufacturers of the tap and get a price on replacement ceramic disks from them (We do this for free) or the other way, if you are not confident taking the pics, is we can send one of our friendly and experienced handymen out to have a look at the tap, see if he can identify it and if he can’t then he will send the details and pics of the tap to us here in the office and we can source the parts. This visit will incur our minimum charge of £40+vat for the first half hour.

Ceramic valves usually cost between £20 and £30 per pair depending on the tap and take about 2-3 days to arrive at our office. Once they are here we will give you a call to book in one of our handymen to fit the replacement disks and presto your leaky tap problems are solved.

Leaky taps is not the only plumbing job we do, we also repair leaking showers, faulty electric showers, plumb in washing machines, dishwashers, repair leaky pipes... the list is endless. Why not visit our website and see if the jobs you need doing are something we can do. I can almost guarantee that they are!

Free quotes and estimates.

Do free estimates really exist? I tend not to think so. Many services these days offer free estimates and quotes as a way of getting their foot in the door with potential customers and I can understand why a customer would want more than one quote from a few different service providers but let’s be honest, anyone giving a free quote is always going to factor the cost of that quote into his final quoted price. Sure he may not ultimately get the job but just because you have not paid for his time to quote you does not mean that no one will.

I like the idea of a local tradesman giving free quotes to the area he either lives or trades in because that area is his main source of business and if he provides a good enough service at a reasonable rate and people are serious about getting the work done then free quotes won’t be all that necessary because he is more than likely assured of getting the work.

I think what worries me is larger firms offering free quotes because firstly they can afford it more and that it has now become industry expectation to get a free quote for work meaning that allot of time is spent going out to peoples house or offices and giving free building advice as opposed to visiting a potential customer with a clear idea of what they want doing.

There is also a difference between a builder giving you a quote to add and extension or even re-fit an entire bathroom and a handyman giving you a quote on changing a kitchen tap. Because there is this expectation of free quotes every now and then people question why it is not necessary to come out and see them to give a quote on changing a kitchen tap. After being in this industry for a few years and our handymen having the collective experience of nearly 3 lifetimes of home and office maintenance we can pretty much guarantee that 9 out of 10 times changing a kitchen tap will take no longer than 1 to 1 ½ hours. The key here is that Silver Saints London Handyman Service offer a service that we believe to be the most experienced, reliable and up-front in London so we want to be in a situation that our customers trust us enough to be happy that we are charging them fairly for work that is being done by someone who has done this sort of job many times and will not try and drag things out. Another important part of the service is that our handymen our experienced enough to recognise that if the tap or whatever job we are doing for some reason will not be completed in the time we have estimated over the phone he will tell you before the job goes ahead and you have option of sending him away without charge.

I appreciate there are some jobs that cannot be done without seeing and quoting on first and for this we offer a survey and estimate service which is charged at £35+vat. If you decide to go ahead with the estimate we have given, we will knock the £35+vat off the final invoice. This way you know exactly what you are in for those more complex jobs.

Silver Saints London Handyman Service is here to change your perception of the home and office maintenance industry. Why not give us a call on 0207 0999 199 or visit our website at www.silversaints.com There are not many jobs we can’t do!

Londons best handyman service.

Hi All,

Apparently blogging has become all the rage these days and no self respecting internet user who feels they have something to add or purely wants somewhere share info should be without one. This is my first blog post and I will mainly focus my blogging on recent exciting events and share some of the trials, personal satisfaction and general enjoyment of these events.

I am originally from South Africa and came to London at the tender age of 19 straight after I finished high School and have now been in London for 4 years. For the past 3 years I have been working as the operations manager of London's largest and most successful handyman service but in December the company was sold to a larger less personal and more faceless organisation.

When I originally started as the operations administrator it was only the MD, GM and I with 12 full time handymen on the road. At the time of sale the company had 25 handymen on the road, 5 full time office staff and roughly 8 operating franchises.

The sale came as somewhat of a surprise and the expectation was that the new owners would continue the success garnered through unparalleled customer service and employee job satisfaction. Unfortunately this was not the case and I became concerned that the direction of the new owner was not a direction I felt confident in following. I was not alone in this feeling and both myself and the GM resigned and decided to start our own London handyman service called Silver Saints.

Here at Silver Saints we believe that there are two things that are vital to the success of a service such as ours and these are an extremely high and personal level of customer service and happy, experienced and friendly handymen. Fortunately we have both!

If there are any odd jobs you need doing around your office or home or even if you just want some advice why not give us a call and one of our friendly operation team members (I or Seamus) will be glad to help. You can also visit our website www.silversaints.com which we think is brilliant
