A saniflo unit is a box that normally sits behind your toilet and is connected directly to the pan of the toilet. When you flush the toilet the waste goes straight into the saniflow unit where it is then effectively chopped up and fed into a smaller pipe that will eventually connect to a waste pipe.

Most people done even know they have saniflo units until the toilet blocks and they get us out to unblock the toilet and we find that it is actually the saniflo unit that has stopped working which is causing the waste to build up in the pan.

9 out of 10 times a saniflo unit is not worth repairing as the motor has usually burnt out. There are a few different makes and models of saniflo units and a like for like replacement is your best bet in terms of convenience of fitment.
